I recently had my daughter’s wedding up on our waterfront property, on the Sunshine Coast, in August of this year. The wedding was a fantastic occasion for 2 reasons, the weather happened to be the hottest day of the year and the catering was fantastic. Alan Barnes and his company made it so special. Alan’s attention to detail, timing of the food service, and the special help of his people, made this the highlight of the summer. We are writing this letter to advise you of our appreciation for Chef Alan Barnes and to provide a recommendation for his chef services.

Alan has hosted two special functions in our home, one was for 150 guests and the other was for 30 guests. Both times Alan showed up ahead of time for preparations and to make sure all his grocery items were properly refrigerated and stored. He is the most organized person we have ever seen in action before, during and after his chef duties. He provided us with many menu options and was flexible to make any changes. Alan wore a white chef hat & uniform while cooking in the kitchen, carving roasts for guests and during clean up. He is very talented in the culinary arts, extremely clean and organized and works tirelessly until the last dish is spotless. He puts so much attention to detail in his cooking and the result is spectacular food presentations that had our guest mouths watering. His work ethic is beyond admirable, it is unfaltering. His service was equally exceptional during both our events, regardless of the size variation. He is the most professional caterer that we have ever hired. We will be asking Chef Barnes to host our next party without hesitation.

We absolutely recommend Chef Alan Barnes as a welcome addition and fantastic contributor to any party or function whether it is small or large. We are confident that you will be very pleased.

I recently had the opportunity to hire Alan Barnes and Ricolan Chef Services to cater my parents 50th wedding anniversary party. Having never planned a function like this before I was rather nervous in the weeks leading up to the event but Alan was with me every step of the way. He answered any question I had in a
timely fashion and made me feel confident the event would go smoothly. I felt I was in good hands and was amazed to find out he was going to be at the hall hours before the rest of the family getting ready.

On the day of the party I arrived at the hall to find Alan and his crew hard at work getting things ready in the kitchen. This was the first time we had met face to face as everything had been arranged via e-mails and telephone and yet all was going wonderfully. Alan’s crew was fabulous throughout the day. They were refilling glasses, bringing around hors d’oeuvre yet they were very unobtrusive in their manner. The guests were never left wanting. The buffet lunch was beautifully presented, the food was fabulous and there was no
shortage of anything.

Alan Barnes made himself very accessible to me during the planning process and even came to talk to a guest who had a question regarding how he managed to prepare one of the food items. My parents can’t stop raving about the party and will remember it for years to come thanks largely to Alan who helped make the whole day absolutely amazing. I wholeheartedly recommend Ricolan Chef Services to anyone who is planning a gathering and is in need of a truly professional caterer.
